In February, UndauntedK12, Forward Together Wisconsin, and the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction hosted a webinar to help school districts understand how new federal funding available through the IRA, combined with local utility incentives, can be leveraged to inform long-term facilities planning well into the next decade.
Meet the Wisconsin schools leading on energy tax credits and Elective Pay
The Waunakee Community School District in Wisconsin received a $1,044,188 reimbursement from the IRS for clean energy technologies installed at Waunakee Intermediate School and the new Heritage Elementary School. The district worked with Vogel Brothers Building Co. on the projects.
The School District of Baraboo installed solar panel arrays at Jack Young Middle School and Baraboo High School. Westphal & Company, a local electrical construction firm, completed these projects.
Northland Pines School District added a solar array outside St. Germain Elementary School - the district’s fourth solar project. Hoffman Planning, Design, and Construction, a leading firm with a dedicated school facilities team, completed this project.
