Branson Public Schools in Missouri receives two checks for $4M!

BRANSON, MO., August 2025 – Branson Public Schools in Missouri celebrated the receipt of its second reimbursement from the IRS for ground-source heat pumps installed at Branson High School and the Cedar Ridge Primary, Elementary, and Intermediate school campus.

The ground-source heat pumps qualify for energy tax credits through a funding mechanism called Elective Pay

After completing the ground-source heat pump system at Branson High School in November 2024, the district partnered with Energy Tax Savers to prepare their IRS filing, which was submitted on July 22, 2025. On August 20, 2025, the district received $2,634,686.96 for the ground-source heat pumps. 

After completing the ground-source heat pump system at the Cedar Ridge Campus in February 2023, the district partnered with Grant Thornton Advisors, LLC to prepare their IRS filing, which was submitted on November 14, 2024. On December 19, 2024, the district received $1,458,496.19 for the ground-source heat pumps.

These projects are part of Branson Public Schools’ Facilities Master Plan, developed in partnership with engineering and performance contracting firm Veregy, designed to save taxpayer dollars and create healthy, safe, modernized learning environments.
