Seal of Climate Literacy clears the Senate Appropriations Committee

Senate Bill 1048, the landmark legislation to establish a California Seal of Climate Literacy, cleared the Senate Appropriations Committee in another important step toward becoming law. The Committee determined that this bill has no significant state costs.

What’s Next?

SB 1048 now moves to a full Senate floor vote, which we expect to take place sometime in May – and the stronger our coalition grows, the better positioned we’ll be for the road ahead. We are specifically looking for school district leaders, students, and teachers (particularly those from rural or smaller communities across the state) to join our coalition.
