New Rules for Solar and Storage Projects
Are you supporting clean energy projects at your school district?
The July 2025 budget reconciliation law introduced new rules for solar and energy/thermal storage projects to qualify for federal energy tax credits. In December, we released two short and digestible videos on our Energy Tax Credits for Schools Hub to help leaders and project teams understand the changes and what steps school districts can take to navigate this new landscape.
Understanding these new rules may impact how school districts navigate project development and communications during these final days of the calendar year.
To help your community navigate this new landscape, you can:
Share this blog post or the hub with district leaders, private sector partners, and others engaged in solar or storage projects.
Visit the Energy Tax Credits for Schools Hub to stay up-to-date on changes to energy tax credits, including new timelines and rules associated with solar and storage projects.
Reach out with any questions or for assistance by emailing info@undauntedk12.org. We're happy to help.
