Highlighting school districts across the Midwest at the 2026 Midwest Climate Summit
Co-presenters Jeremy Eltz (The Good Food Institute), Jessica Haberstock (TYLin), Kristen Hengtgen (UndauntedK12) and Denise Gravelle (Quinn Evans).
Across the Midwest, schools, municipalities, and businesses are strengthening climate resilience by reducing emissions, creating local jobs, and boosting economic prosperity.
On March 31, at the Midwest Climate Summit, UndauntedK12 highlighted the important role schools play in this work. Kristen Hengtgen shared examples of how schools in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota are modernizing their facilities with cost-saving, energy-efficient ground-source heat pumps while leveraging federal energy tax credits to help cover project costs.
